Former Boston Homicide Detective and current Private Investigator, Kat Munroe is no ordinary human. She is a huntress with special abilities that give her an edge in her work, but that’s something she doesn’t share in case it gets her a one-way ticket to the loony bin. When Max and Brett Jericho hire her to find Viktor Kalsiak, suspected of stealing millions of dollars worth of uncut diamonds, she’s skeptical, but intrigued. Needing to bring more income into her fledging PI business, she agrees to take the case. However, her instincts are telling her that these men and this case are not what they seem and her instincts have never failed her.

This is an excellent short sci-fi suspense story that has a paranormal feel to it. Kat has supernatural abilities that run in her family and the Jericho boys are not entirely human either. And they are hot, hot, hot. The suspense is all about Viktor and the erotica is all about Kat and her hottie employers getting some ménage action. The sci-fi is covered by time travel and future Earth. So, this story has a bit of everything. The bad guy isn’t very well-developed and it’s hard to get a sense of him other than he’s not a good guy. Kat and the Jerichos have better developed personalities and they are very likeable. The POV switches between Max and Kat, so I got a good overall sense of what was going down. It’s well-written, though a tad short, but don’t let that stop you from reading it. All-in-all a wonderful and entertaining read.
